As with most types of model planes, this type has two categories. The display type and the actual flying type. Most wooden planes that fly are powered by the rubber band concept, making them inexpensive to purchase. The other category, the display type, are for those who are fascinated with airplanes in general. Can be given as a gift or just to decorate ones office.

I am building a small wooden model plane that requires a 6-7″ prop. the kit includes a “plastic prop” for a rubber band flight but I am just making the model for display and would prefer a wooden prop. any idea where i could purchase a wooden prop? my hobby shop is of no assistance at all. only carries larger props for rc. I am a novice at this but enjoy modeling as I am faced with retirement soon. your assistance would be appreciated.
